Gruml 0.9.21 released

Posted on Monday, 23rd August 2010 by in Blog

Gruml 0.9.21 is released:

Changelog:

  • New: Changed synchronization with Google Reader. Your subscriptions and articles are fetched at first launch. After that initial sync only changes will be loaded from Google Reader.
Download consumption will be reduced and synchronize times will be shorter.
    Please note:
An inital full synch will be performed if you first launch Gruml 0.9.21 even if you’ve used any older version of Gruml before. Depending on the number of feeds in your account this may take some time. The synchronization can be interrupted at any time and will resume at next run of Gruml.
  • New: Changed local storage engine. Browsing and offline use are improved.
  • New: Social service: Google Buzz
  • New: Social service: friendfeed
  • New: Social service: Pinboard
  • Improvement: Feed favicons are shown in Growl notifications
  • Improvement: Jump to next unread item with ⌃ ␣ (will directly jump to next unread article without browsing through article text, as ␣ does.); there’s a toolbar item available as well.
  • Fixed: Mark all as read warning could not be supressed
  • bug fixes

When the feeds refresh, and I read them, I get this:
    http://skitch.com/k776/dur2i/gruml

In that case, three new articles came through, I read the two in “Web Development” via the “All Unread” page.

Also, I miss the option for multiple threads :-(

No need for multiple threads, as we don’t need to refresh feeds individually any more

Any chance of sorting feeds by “magic”, the way the web version of google reader does?

0.9.21 crashes everytime I launch it. No opportunity to send feedback via the crash reporter as that crashes to. No ability to download 0.9.21 as the download link on the 0.9.20 goes to the latest version.

Trying to run it on Snow Leopard.

    Enjoying using it before that!

The Problem with the Final Release is that changing the Fontsize for the Articles don’t Function anymore. No matter what Fontsize i use it only shows Size 6 so i can’t read it without Glasses.

Btw: The Beta Version was as good as the other Versions before, but this Final Release is not Working properly anymore. I already wrote the Developer without any Answer ’til today.
